Vienna - way up north photography conference

This is a different blog post because it’s not about an amazing wedding, but it’s about my amazing experience attending the Way Up North Photography conference in Vienna. At the start of October this “break” was very welcome as I was starting to feel burnout from the busy summer at the height of wedding season. I knew going to this conference would reignite my passion not only for photography but for the business as a whole again, and I wasn’t wrong.

A snap outside the venue with some friends I made there - along with one of the speakers Lisa Devlin who is so inspirational within the wedding photography industry.

It was my first time in Austria and I’d planned a few days to expore and do all the touristy things before getting to work.

The event program consisted of two days of talks by some of the most successful and motivational people within the wedding industry. It was also sponsored by some of the biggest brands - Sony, Canon, Imagen AI, Capture One, Pictime, and Wooden Banana. Just being part of this community was enough to spark excitement but I took so much away from the talks, not only for my photography and the business but on a personal level too.

One thing I was really excited for was the organised shoot session sponsored by Sony. It was at the end of day two and we were being shown round the centre of Vienna for some iconic photo spots as well as some hidden gems, just as dusk was setting in. Our models were stunning and everyone got some amazing shots. Here are some of my favourites.
